Norton Creek Outdoor Learning Center:

Look What Is Blooming in the OLC:

For those of you who have not checked out the OLC, please do! There are so many things to see, touch, taste and take home.  Here is a list of the few things you may see while visiting this beautiful community space.

*The butterfly and hummingbird beds that were planted by second graders look amazing!  If you are lucky you may even spot a monarch butterfly getting ready to migrate.

* The raised bed 1st graders planted has a gorgeous sunflower that is reaching toward the stars.

*The sensory beds have beautiful new fall plants taking root.

*In the garden there are cucumbers, squash, watermelon and tomatoes still to pick.

*The little free library has books you can take home with you!

Rest at one of the picnic tables, if you listen quietly...what do you hear? Enjoy!

The vision of an Outdoor Learning Center here at Norton Creek was inspired from the success of a school garden, the Green Team and the Earth Savers Club. Through the organization Come Alive Outside contact was made with SEBERT Landscape, a local company that promotes environmental stewardship through their many green and sustainable practices.  They are committed to partnering with Norton Creek to help make the vision for an Outdoor Learning Space become a reality.
